i Bones are the supporting structure for our entire body. The mere design of the skeleton is astonishing by itself. There's also things that bones do without us even realizing which makes it even more interesting. Few people know the fact that we had more bones when we were infants than when we're adults. An article by Healthline Parenthood and a youtube video by DK books goes further into this phenomenon. The Healthline Parenthood article written by Karen Richardson details how and why babies have more bones than adults. The target audience for this audience is clearly towards parents who want to know more about their upcoming child. The message of the article is presented by producing a informative clear article about multiple and various facts about bones. One fact that the article presented was that bones fuse when infants age and this is the result of fewer bones in the body. The article was filled with words and had no other visual appeal. Although, this wasn't

Thomas Edison is most associated with the light bulb but he didn't actually invent it. That being said, it should be viewed as a wrongdoing that he continuously is the face of the light bulb. Although, Edison did play a part in providing aid to this innovative creation. This fact alone shouldn't give him all the glory of the creation. The credit should be mostly given to the true inventor of the light bulb, Frederick De Moleyns. Nearly 40 years before Edison, Frederick claimed the first patent lightbulb in 1841. Although, the light bulbs weren't commercially viable and too expensive. Joseph Swan also created another version of the light bulb a year before Edison but ran into the same consumer problem as Frederick. Finally, Edison came into the picture and created his own version of the light bulb. Unlike the other two men, Edison found a way for his to be commercially viable to the masses. Now if you want to say Edison was the first to make the light bulb commerc

Before there was Barrack Obama, George Edwin Taylor became the first African American to run for president of the United States. George Edwin Taylor was born in 1857 and was a journalist until he got involved in politics. He got into politics because he saw the lack of representation and interest for people of color in politics. George knew he would be taken lightly by white people but still continued with his beliefs. Using the platform given to him by the all black third party, he showed that people of color had interest of having power in politics. George's attempt at presidency was more for symbolic reason rather than an actual shot at being president. His goal worked because this led to more activity from African Americans in politics. He was viewed as an idol due to his example of perseverance and bravery for this matter. Years after his death, there was a continuation of all black independent political parties as well. African Americans now play a futile part in polit

Valentine's day origin may seem innocent but it's quite the opposite. In the multiple articles that explain the origins of the holiday, I chose "The Dark Origins of Valentine's Day" by Arnie Seipel. I found this one appealing because it had the most intriguing title and had more life in general. Yes, all of these articles did a good job at detailing the true nature of the holiday but only one did it in an interesting way. The article "History of Valentine's day" by the history channel was well informed but overstocked with facts. There was no life to the article at all. Unlike the article written by Arnie, "The Dark Origins of Valentines Day"  had facts but also had personality in the writing. In conclusion, "The Dark Origins of Valentine's Day" outshined the other articles because it was the most unique and not bland like the others. sources:  https://www.npr.org/2011/02/14/133693152/the-dark-origins-of-valentines-day

It might not be widely recognized but wrestling is considered to be the oldest sport. This was personally shocking to me because I would've expected a more "relevant" sport to be the oldest. Of course wrestling is relevant but there is stigma on the reputation of it being a sport when compared to basketball, football, baseball, and others. Although, there are literal cave drawings the depict forms of wrestling. Some of the drawings date back to a whopping 15,000 years ago, the BC era and AD era. Wrestling continued on to ancient roman and the middle age eras as well. Knowing this fact, it's astonishing that wrestling continues to have some relevance in our current time period. This sport remains popular because of the violence and theatric that the thrill wrestling brings. Wrestling continues to entertain and give people an enjoyable time.   Running being one of the oldest sports isn't really shocking and it makes sense. It is the most direct and simple

President Trump is currently going through a rigorous impeachment process. Another president in history that went through this was Andrew Johnson and both impeachments are comparable. Both were accused for wanting personal gains that involved power. Although, they both have their differences as well. The fall from grace for both men is saddening and an abomination in itself. Trump is facing impeachment due to allegations that he looked for help from Ukraine politics to get reelected in the upcoming election, getting dirt on competition in the election, and obstructing congress. Johnson was facing impeachment due to political conflict and conflicting ideas in the government revolving around the Tenure of Office Act. The main similarity is the fact they both wanted to act on their selfish beliefs for their own gain. They both were trying to disrupt the natural political system and both tried to get rid of "corruption" within government. Then finally, both were obviousl
